Sincerely,
John Wang
Hello my name is John Wang and I would first like to thank you for visiting my website. If you don’t already know me, here’s my bio.
I was born and raised in Richmond, British Columbia and now reside in Calgary, Alberta. My full time job is working for WestJet as a flight attendant traveling all over North America. My full time passion is photography.
Like most photographers, I started my photography career as a hobby, enjoying seeing people’s positive reactions to the images I was capturing. It wasn’t until several friends suggested that I should be doing this more than just a hobby. Reluctantly, I began writing my business plan. Not having any formal education in photography, it was obvious that my first objective was to understand the reasons behind what I was doing with my camera, so I became a student at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). As of Spring 2008, I achieved my photography certification from SAIT and now specialize in Wedding and Portrait photography.
My second objective was to ensure not to lose my passion for photography. The answer here is simple. I enjoy working with people, seeing their reactions to what and how I see the world through the lens of a camera. By constantly challenging myself to be the best at what I do drives me to set high goals and a plan to achieve them.
I believe the most important aspect about being a wedding photographer is making sure there is a clear line of communication between myself and you, the client. How is this possible? Well, my promise to you is that I will ensure that I am always open to feedback and suggestions. In fact, I encourage you to provide me with your ideas and explain images that you are seeing in your mind. These are your expectations being translated to images and it is so important to ensure that our expectations and vision are aligned. Paint me a picture of who you are and I will translate that into a photographic image.
I hope that I have been able to paint you a picture of who I am and hope that we can get to know each other in the near future.
Once again, thank you for your time and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me either by email or phone.
